I have nearly 20 years of experience in working with people living with a dementia - in the community - and have recently worked within the National Trust setting up dementia-related sessions at their sites. Having gained an MSc in Dementia Studies, I am a strong advocate for people living as well as possible with their dementia and I am currently working within Rutland to engage and stimulate clients to do just that.
I also promote the auditing of organisations and shops so that they can become more dementia-inclusive.
When speaking to groups, I explain about dementias, their symptoms etc but, most importantly, how to live as well as possible with one. I use my own projector and screen
