Details of talks given by Wayne Stirling Parker
Wayne comes from a family of motor racing, with an extensive background in motorsport. His father Gaylord Parker raced with success in 1960s with a Mini Cooper S 970cc, later racing in the British Leyland Mini 7 Challenge in the 1970s. His uncle was a successful Rally Driver in the 1970s and 80s.
Wayne has over 30 years circuit racing experience in saloons, and GTs. He began competitive racing in 1990 in sprint and hillclimb events with an Austin Mini before progressing to circuit racing in 1994. Wayne has raced in numerous different events and championships, throughout the UK and at the Spa Francorchamps 6 hours weekend. Wayne has always competed with British saloon and sports manufacturers and these include Austin Mini, MG Metro, MG ZR, Rover Metro GTI, Rover BRM, Jaguar XJS, Jaguar XK8 and Jaguar F-Type. He has also driven single seaters including Formula Ford, Formula 3 and Arrows FA14 Formula 1 cars. Previously Wayne was a grade 'A' ARDS race driving instructor, providing circuit tuition and as a Pro Driver for car manufacturers.
