Biography:

Andrew Cooper is one of Britain’s most influential factual television producers, film director and photographer. A biologist and anthropologist by training, and multi-award-winning wildlife documentary film maker who has travelled worldwide for the BBC Natural History Unit.

His media career started with regular appearances for BBC South West based in Plymouth, then to Bristol with ‘Springwatch’, ‘Autumnwatch’, ‘One Show’ and ‘BBC Breakfast’. His prime time, high rating ‘Secret Nature’ wildlife series and flagship ‘Natural World’ documentaries, all screened worldwide.

Andrew is responsible for some of highest rating wildlife documentaries on British television and broadcaster on radio, Described by the editor of BBC Wildlife Magazine as a top-class speaker. He was responsible for writing all his documentary scripts and commissioning some of the industry’s most famous people.

The author of ten wildlife books, including several BBC Publications, Andrew is an engaging, entertaining and inspirational lecturer who enjoys sharing his wild experiences. Today he is also an experienced, highly rated lecturer on cruise ships, including Saga and Cunard. As a television producer he filmed globally, employing some of the biggest names in the business and many top experts. Literally putting words into the mouths of some of the most famous narrators.
