Biography:

Briony Bax MBE is a poet, writer and social activist and throughout her life has volunteered for NGOs in America, UK and Kenya. Inspired by her aunt's efforts Briony began volunteering in Kenya in 2006 at the Saidia Children's Home and since that time she's visited the children twice a year and takes volunteers from all over the world to help give these underserved children a better start in life. Her poetry has been widely published in magazines and her pamphlet 'Lament' was published in 2020 by Rough Trade Press. For eight years she was editor of Ambit Magazine. In 2023 she was awarded and MBE in the King's Birthday Honours list for her work with vulernable children in Kenya. She is a trustee of Saidia Children's Charity in the UK and founded The Orphan Support League in the US.
