Biography:

Hi, I'm Paul; I speak about mental health, personal development and strategies to help men speak up when they're feeling down.

As the Founder of MAN:tra, I work with with (principally) mid-life men, who are struggling, to achieve personal and professional happiness, through group and 1-2-1 coaching and training.

The driver for MAN:tra is my own, personal mental health story.

Back in 2019, I had a breakdown - but that was just the beginning. Throw in a complete denial of what was happening; the start of a new business (to show I could 'man up' and just carry on); the appearance of Covid (and the subsequent need to pivot the business dramatically); and then the inevitable total crash (preceded by an episode of uncontrollable crying behind the wheel of my car) and you arrive at my keynote speech: 'Man Down - The Problem With Trying to Man Up'.

In my talk, I share more details about my own mental health story, I convey how acceptance is the road to all change, I demonstrate the importance of mindset as well as practical tools and tips (highlighting areas such as beliefs, values, identity and purpose) and invite people to challenge the concept of 'Man Up' (because it's really not helpful!)

I'd be delighted to chat with you about how I can help, and more than happy to tell you more about my keynote speech. Alternatively, I can create a talk which is bespoke to the audience you have, and will work with you to make sure it hits the right notes/tone.

Do feel free to message me and see what we can do together.

All the best, and happy searching on Speakernet if I'm not quite right for you.

Paul
