Details of talks given by Pauline Lane
After fulfilling a long held dream to keep bees I am now active in my local association as Secretary and Talks Co-ordinator. I also work with the training team helping novice beekeepers to get started in what is now quite a challenging activity.
When giving talks to schools and adult groups I aim to spread the word that bees and pollinators are essential to our continuing life on this planet and we can all do something however small to slow the decline. I believe that we owe it to bees to look after them properly and as my generation has done so much damage to the planet I hope to inspire as many people as possible to take a real interest in slowing the effects. 'If we all do a little it will add up to a lot'
We now have a new and possibly the greatest challenge to our bees, a the Asian Hornet and awareness is vital to help us combat the effects it will have on us all.
