Details of talks given by Kay Starkey
Hello and thank you for taking the time reading a little bit about me and the wonderful charity.
Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Kay Starkey and I am very fortunate to be the Community Fundraising Executive for the West Midlands for the amazing Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) operates and funds three air ambulances covering six Midlands counties including Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
Each year it costs in excess of £13 million to maintain the three aircraft and the provision of a lifesaving service. Each air ambulance mission costs an average of £2,950. Each critical care car or cardiac car mission costs £288 on average. The charity does not receive funding from the Government or National Lottery for its daily missions so relies entirely on the support and generosity of local people and businesses. Since 1991, we have responded to more than 77,000 missions, making us one of the busiest air ambulance services in the UK.
Please do feel free to contact me at any time if this is something you are interested in and I’d love to make the magic happen.
Best Wishes
Kay
