Testimonials from groups – Women’s Institute, Towns women’s guild, U3A, Writers group, Speakers club etc
From the very first poem that Steven shared with us there was laughter throughout the room. It went something like ‘Where do poets go wrong? They make their poems too long’ …. Pause…. Laughter… This was followed by a wide variety of his own poems about the environment, life’s annoyances, his childhood and comic events. Entertaining, funny, thought provoking and always entertaining, Steven is a talented poet, who has published a number of volumes of his poems. We look forward to welcoming him back in the future to share even more!

Hi Steve
I said I would write a testimonial for you after last weeks performance but to be honest I have had so many accolades for you that I thought I would list them and you can use as you see fit.
From the Stockport Ladybrook Speakers Club;
Susan Allan (past President.” A refreshingly different type of after dinner entertainment with perfectly pitched humour! “
Gaynor Dennett (past President) “ lots of material we could all relate to making it feel personal (particularly IKEA)!”
Ann Scott “Very funny! A rare talent”
Claire Tunnicliffe (past President). “ I bought the book for a friend. Been reading it from cover to cover. Some out loud to my husband as they are hilariously funny although some poignant and thought provoking. I envy his writing talent! “
Helen Shah “the perfect entertainment for a Speakers Club dinner”
Kayley Wilson “I loved the relevance of his material and things we could all relate to. It was good to genuinely laugh out loud and feel relaxed. I bought a book too and am loving reading it.”
Thanks again Steve. I hope we hear you again.
Take care.

"This mornings show had a great mix of comic, serious, rhyming and non- rhyming verse which was much appreciated by the audience. Several members came up to me afterwards and said how much they enjoyed the show. Steven’s presentation and banter was also very entertaining and added to our members having a good time. He is definitely on our list to book again. Peter Sellek, Chairman, Cookridge and Horsforth U3A”
Testimonial How lucky we were to welcome Steven P. Taylor - Poetry to perform to us at Oddfellows Hall in Bury. Steven’s poetry evoked so many emotions for our fabulous members, bringing back long forgotten memories of mischief and mayhem in their (and my own) childhoods. We can’t wait to welcome him back! For those who couldn’t make it, you won’t want to miss it next time!
“What a wonderful start to our 2025 meetings. Steve brought joy, love, wisdom and laughter to our meeting with his poems and his delivery. We had over 40 ladies from Radcliffe Townswomen’s Guild at the meeting and there was a lot of positive feedback from them. Highly recommended.” Kathryn – Radcliffe Townswomen’s Guild (January 2025)
