What can Speakers talk about?
Our incredible team of 200 trained Speakers are experts in water, sanitation and hygiene. Speakers have delivered over 10,000 face to face and virtual talks and educational workshops. Our volunteers can speak to groups about a variety of aspects of WaterAid’s transformative work including: our work to tackle COVID-19, climate change, periods, our work with women, the technologies we use, our advocacy work, and much more.
Our Speakers can also look to speak with your group on key days of the year such as World Water Day (22 March), World Toilet Day (19 November), Global Handwashing Day (15 October) and Menstrual Hygiene Day (28 May). Additionally, Speakers can tailor their sessions around topics of your choosing.
Who can book a free Speaker?
The short answer is anyone! The Speaker Network can deliver a free talk or workshop to all sorts of groups, including schools, churches and faith groups, companies, youth groups and service organisations.
If you're an educator, we also offer interactive workshops which are suitable for Year 3 pupils onwards.
