Working with The Ark and kip homeless support shelters, Partners for Change is bridging the gap between the council areas of Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. Dedicated to following homeless people as their journey to find a room for the night, and support from two homeless day centers flows into a routine no one would envy. Looking at the basics of how to register someone you maybe concerned about, myth busting about who can be offered a safe night in accommodation, and looking at the issues surrounding the continuing growth of people sleeping rough. As someone with years of experience both working and volunteering with rough sleepers and those in addiction, I can answer any questions you may have about the numbers sleeping rough in your area, how transient these people can be, and the best way to support someone in your local community. My talk is very interactive, and lasts about 30 minutes, with a 10 minute opportunity to ask questions.
