I give these talks primarily for enjoyment (mine and yours, I hope!). I've been a professional seminar presenter for many years, and now focus on my creative writing - novels and short stories, mostly based in the English Lake District. But I enjoy meeting and working with people, and these talks give me the opportunity to continue doing what I love.

Currently, my most popular talk combines themes from my recent novel, 'The Leaf Slide' and the work of singer/songwriters like Jake Thackray, Bob Dylan and Tom Paxton. For this talk, I bring my guitar along with me, and I work with a very simple setup - a chair for me and an audience.

I'll introduce them to my main character, Detective Chief Inspector Max Wordsworth, 'the reluctant Lakeland detective'. and I'll sing some songs to embellish the main themes of Max's story.

As I mentioned in the headline, I also offer many other talks and workshops reflecting my years of experience as a management consultant. Our strap line is 'Soft Skills Set to Work'.

These one hour talks focus on any subject area you choose, and if you wish, they can also be interactive with exercises that I often use in my seminars.

Please contact me directly if you would like me to present a talk on any of the subjects you find in my general info. There are many other topics I can offer too. Just ask!

About Tony Hunt

I love the opportunity to share ideas with people. For over thirty years, this was how I made my living - working as a management consultant and presenting face to face seminars, courses, conferences and workshops, including events with hundreds of delegates.

Some of my clients:

  • The World Bank - A Leadership conference in Zagreb, Croatia
  • GCHQ, NSA - various programs at Cheltenham and Fylingdales, UK
  • US Marine Corps in Japan, Germany and UK
  • RAF, British Army at various bases in the UK
  • The PFA Professional Footballers' Association UK (Outplacement work - a 20 year relationship)
  • Estee Lauder in UAE, Calvin Klein in UK
  • Senior management teams in the UK, Middle East, India, Africa and in many European countries
  • Keynote speaker at a conference for eight hundred KFC Franchisees at Disneyland, Paris
  • Keynote speaker SAP World Tour Brussels

For ten years I was a principal presenter (out of 625) for The Knowledge Brokers of Dubai. This brought me many engagements in the Middle East and in the great cities of India. Four American seminar companies contracted me in for engagements the UK, Europe and Japan, and their rigorous evaluation processes after every seminar allow me to state that my evaluations regularly averaged 9.0 on a 10 point scale.

I was a founder member of the UK Professional Speakers' Association, I've a master's degree and I'm a member of various professional organisations.

I retired from travelling after a climbing accident. My talks now compensate in part for the excitement I miss.

I've lived in the Lake District for many years. Now I write novels, short stories and plays, and I produce online business webinars for different websites. My books are all available on Amazon in various formats, and I've also recorded my own work, and that of over a dozen authors, for Amazon Audible.

In addition to my talks focused on my creative writing, I'm happy to offer customised presentations and workshops on a wide range of more demanding soft skills areas. I've suggested a few themes below that I can offer as a talk or as an exercise-based workshop. Just ask, and I'll be happy to discuss possibilities with you.

  • Presentation Skills
  • Customer Service
  • Time Management
  • Managing Change
  • Leadership versus Management
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Teams and their development
  • Dealing with difficult people
  • Assertiveness
