This talk tells of our journey around the globe (but not all in one go!) starting in Wales, then over to Dublin, across to the United States, down to Australia and over to India. (It continues in Global Allsorts - Part 2). Stories include anything interesting or quirky about history, landscape, people, architecture, sculptures and monuments. Who walked barefoot to buy a bible? Where did we find George Washington's bath tub? Which sealed letter can be opened in 2085?
Views: 5 | Enquiries: 0I give a series of illustrated themed talks on country walking, both rural and urban, under the umbrella title of Amazing Walks. The talks are fully illustrated with a digital photographic show and I bring all my own equipment. I have given talks to W.I.s, U3As, PROBUS and various other groups and have received very positive feedback. I have been successfully auditioned by Lancashire Federation of WIs and I am on the recommended list of North West U3A groups. I have been complimented on the details given in the talks and the quality of my photographs. I can travel to groups within Lancashire and Cheshire or anywhere within a 45 mile radius or so of Manchester. I am afraid but I cannot take any more bookings for 2026 as my calendar is full. Please book early for 2027 as the places are limited and are soon filled up. Provisional bookings will be accepted also.
