I have written books on a variety of good life type subjects including keeping hens in the garden, foraging for wild food, growing veg and fruity cookbooks including THE APPLE COOKBOOK, AUTUMN COOKBOOK, SUMMER FRUITS COOKBOOK and HONEY COOKBOOK.

I grew up in Oxfordshire and had an idyllic country childhood with hens in the garden, bees in the orchard, veg in the borders and pets such as ponies, dogs and cats.

I believe in being as self sufficient as possible and love foraging for all sorts of food in the countryside
