“We are descended from royalty, you know!” “Our family came over with the Conqueror!” You may have heard older relatives boast and perhaps thought they were merely wild rumours passed on by a rambling old relative. But what if they are true and you actually have blue blood in your veins? I have researched similar claims in my own family as well as many others for customers of mine. Join me as I share with you how I got to the bottom of some of these claims, even discovering that some were true!

About Benjamin Nicholls

I am passionate about reconnecting families past and present which brings with it that sense of belonging that most people love to feel.

Reconnecting with my past has given me a greater understanding of who I am and the colourful genes I have inherited. Since embarking on a journey into my family's past, I have found I get just as much joy from helping others on their journey. This is why I set up Footsteps.

I believe that family history is a sociable activity and so I enable people to live a day in the life of their ancestors. This is a great experience for the whole family that connects them emotionally to their heritage.
