He is a former Headmaster of a high school in the West Midlands and during his tenure was pleased to find his work featured in the British Parliamentary Review of Education. He now devotes his time mainly to his historical interests and is currently researching a biography of Catherine I, the first woman to rule Russia as Empress, which he hopes to publish in the near future. Throughout his career, whatever his audience, Dave has always attempted to engage and inspire. He believes History, like life itself, is full of drama. His talks are designed to be informative and authoritative, but also user-friendly and engaging. Dave’s enthusiasm for his subject has often been described as infectious.
