About Rosanna McGlone

I am an experienced journalist, author and public speaker with an international career. My copy has appeared in numerous publications including The Guardian, The Independent and The Sydney Morning Herald. I taught Presentation Skills at Lincoln University (no pressure!) and spoke about my Amazon number 1 book, The Process of Poetry, on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row. Moving on from journalism, my later work includes non-fiction books, community plays, heritage trails and Feisty Females, a book of short stories based on a medieval manuscript. My family were £10 POMs, twice, and I have also lived in El Salvador. A key factor for me is audience engagement. I do, naturally, use a Powerpoint to accompany any talks that I give. I am always happy to chat about my work and this is a great way to learn more about me and whether I would be a good fit for your organisation. I am happy to fit in last minute requests, wherever possible. While I am currently taking bookings for next year, I am happy to squeeze into last minute slots for 2026 too, subject to availability. I am a member of The Society of Authors and The Society of Women Writers and Journalists.

Here are some of my many endorsements: “Rosanna is a natural storyteller and kept the audience enthralled,” Sue Morrison, Boston Book Festival June 2025 on Feisty Females. “The incredible powerhouse that is Rosanna McGlone facilitated a wonderful event at our annual writing festival. Having a speaker of such experience and skill is an absolute gift.” Gill Rossini, Wilmslow World Festival of Writing. July 2025 “We’ve had great feedback on Rosanna’s lively talk, Hacked Off: A Life asking Questions. It was very interesting and enjoyable.” Michele Murphy, Speaker Finder, Lincoln Bailgate U3A September 2025 “I loved it.” “It was very interesting and I learnt so much!” Audience reaction to Feisty Females, Lincoln Book Festival October 2025 “Thanks so much for your engaging talk about the 'feisty females' of medieval Lincolnshire. It was fascinating and illuminating - I really enjoyed it, and I know that the audience did too,” Jamie Wood, Historical Association- Lincoln Branch November 2025 “It was an excellent talk and I really enjoyed it. Your book and talk bring to life the Feisty Females of medieval Lincolnshire and the challenges they had to face and overcome in a male dominated world. Michael Gilbert, President Spalding Gentlemens’ Society. January 2026 “There was universal praise,” Peter Irons, Speaker finder Horncastle U3A April 2026 “It’s one of the best talks we’ve ever had,” audience member Woodhall Spa U3A on my talk £10 POMS- The highs and lows of my travels Down Under. April 2026
