The main motivation behind Life Juggling is to help us feel more ease and flow in life through the challenging aspects of learning and growing. It also allows us to practise being kind to ourselves and accepting of where we are right now.

Juggling acclimatises us to the idea of resetting; if the ball drops, we have an opportunity to breath and try again.

Using play, movement, reflective practice and juggling skills, you will be guided through a variety of group and individual exercises designed to teach the fundamentals of 3-ball juggling. You will be encouraged to try something new and let go of the idea of needing to be ‘good’ straight away.

Being in a group watching others ‘fail’ and seeing them celebrate can be extremely liberating as part of a shared learning experience.

The workshop is delivered in a fun, interactive, safe and engaging way. Even if juggling isn’t for you, you will finish the workshop feeling energised and positive with a greater belief in yourself.

About Luke Bailey

Luke was a national standard pole vaulter for over 8 years and completed a BSc(Hons) Sports Coaching degree helping others to reach their sporting potential. Due to injury he had to step away from competitive sport, so he developed his other passion, training at ALRA drama school where he received his MA in Professional Acting. The years he spent studying weren’t always easy and he found the pressure in both fields difficult and isolating. His dyslexia meant that he struggled to see where he would ‘fit in’ in the world and didn’t know where life would take him.

Luckily, his curiosity in performance in its many forms led him to do a clowning workshop where he realised that a clown’s philosophy was to celebrate ‘failure’. In fact, clowns purposefully ‘fail,’ to bring joy to an audience, as well as create a sense of connection. This resonated with Luke and he created and performed his own solo clown show, ‘Come Fly with Fred’.

He has also worked closely with the charity The Flying Seagull Project, facilitating high energy play and circus workshops in refugee camps across Europe and the Middle East. This led him to complete his Diploma in Transformational Life Coaching where he works with clients on turning their ideas into actions. Also his work has consisted of delivering the National Diabetes Prevention Programme supporting people through group coaching sessions to make healthy lifestyle adjustments to improve their health and wellbeing.

The amalgamation of Luke’s love of juggling, coaching, clowning, performing and workshop facilitation, mixed with the desire to improve people’s mental health and overcome self-doubt is the driving force behind Life Juggling.
