About Chrissie Henson

I am a person centred therapist who has cerebral palsy.

I have overcome disability discrimination at college, in the workplace and during my therapy training placement. I now run my own business counselling with Chrissie which I founded in 2018.

I recently published my second book Self love because you matter, it provides simple yet powerful techniques to help you overcome mental health issues like overthinking, feeling stuck, no life balance and putting others before yourself. My first book A look inside the therapy room shares my story of becoming a person-centred therapist where I empower others with mental health issues to change their lives. It gives the reader an insight into what happens in the therapy room, dispelling myths and shares experiences and outcomes of some of my previous clients.
