We all know about honeybees, but what about the other hundreds of bees in the U.K. who are much more important and more productive than honeybees? Learn about their amazing lives and what can we do to help them.
Views: 11 | Enquiries: 0My name is Hawk Honey (nothing to do with beekeeping or honey, it’s just my name) and I am an hymenopterist who specialises in wild bees and wasps (not honeybees).
Up until recently I used to work for Suffolk Wildlife Trust. In my own time you will often find me out in the wilds of Suffolk looking for bees and wasps and recording them for the national database. Over the years I have noticed their severe decline and how very little people know about them or, know how bad honeybees are for the environment.
I have received nothing but very positive feedback from both my talks and have given talks to the National Trust and RSPB as well as many WI’s, garden clubs, Oddfellows, Probus, etc.
I supply all of my own equipment, projector, laptop and screen. I am already taking bookings for 2027 and still have a few places for 2026 available. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, I cannot do daytime talks unless it’s at weekends. I only do evening talks.
If you need a speaker in an emergency, please get in touch as I am very prompt in replying to emails and I may be able to help you out. I look forward to seeing you soon, hopefully!
Hawk
