This talk is a gentle and open introduction to end of life planning, taking a holistic approach to preparing for dying, whenever that may be, that often informs our living well in the meantime. We cover how you might approach putting your affairs in order, making treatment choices, what role your relationships and community might play, funerals and what legacy you may want to leave. Each person attending will be bringing their own experiences, and I am mindful to hold the space safely. You can expect moments of humour and moments of tenderness, coming back to what matters most for each person.

I work as a Death Doula (or End of Life Doula, terms used interchangeably) supporting people with their practical, emotional and spiritual needs as they come to end of life. I have many years experience in the children's palliative care and counselling sectors, underpinned by an innate holistic curiosity for how society, nature and the individual interact to shape our most profound experiences. How we navigate life, the universe and everything can be understood through many lenses, and it is my deep belief that education and conversation around death can offer our communities wildly more than improved funeral planning.
