As a 19 year old Royal Marines Commando I deployed to the Falkland Islands as part of Operation Corporate.
This is NOT a 'full on' talk with graphic examples of battle.
I will take you, through my personal experience, using my personal collection of photographs and memorabilia. From being woken up early on the 2nd April 1982 , Sailing on the ill fated LSL Sir Galahad, 'Bomb Alley', landing ashore, the advance across the Falklands to the surrender, sailing home on HMS Fearless and the welcome home.

I am a former Royal Marines Commando, Police Officer and Security Professional.
I have a passion for military history which became focused on medals when researching my families history, discovering where and when various family members had served and what campaign medals they were awarded.
