I joined the Prison Service in 1978 and retired in 2015 starting as a Prison Officer and then a Senior Officer. The history of Lewes prison and the role it’s had serving Sussex for many years., and my experience, knowledge, and humour will be the the main topics for this talk, question and answers are welcome

I joined the Prison Service in 1978 and retired in 2015. Approx 37 years experience.I would like to pass the history of HMP Lewes. And my knowledge whilst my time as a serving Officer, and senior Officer, at various establishments around the country. Some funny, so very serious incidents. I enjoyed my time in the service and would like to pass this on as life behind the walls is not very well recorded, question and answers are encouraged.
