I am a professional guest speaker on the topic of gemstones.
 I live in Cambridgeshire and for the last fifteen years I have had a highly rewarding career in the jewellery industry working as an International gem stone buyer for a respected jewellery company. I have recently started my own company supplying the jewellery market with loose and finished gemstones specialising in pearls and semi-precious stones. I have and continue to travel extensively to source these items internationally. For many years now I have undertaken many talks on the subject of Gemstones to groups including Probus, U3A ,WI, Friendship groups, Business groups and have passed several speaker auditions.References can be provided should one wish. 
 My Talks.

My talks focus on the fascinating world of gemstones. The talks include a spectacular power point display so that the audience can fully appreciate the subject matter. I am passionate about the jewellery industry. My main aim is to make the talks informative and fun and really engage the audience by showing examples of both host rock and cut/polished gemstones and Jewellery.

Talk 1. Pearl a famous Gemstone

This is the first in the series of my talks and as the title suggests looks at one of the most desirable gemstones, the Pearl. The talk focus is on what a pearl is, what produces them and where. The different types of Pearls from fisheries around the world. A fascinating history line from early civilisations to pearls found in jewellery today. Famous pearls and famous jewellery and much more. The talk duration is 60 minutes but can be tailored to suit.Examples of the Pearl types and their associated molluscs are passed to the audience to touch,view and even some beautiful pearl jewellery can be purchased at amazing prices should someone fall in love! I always welcome questions from the audience.

Talk 2. An introduction to Gemstones.

This is the second in the series of my talks and as the title suggests we venture into the fascinating world of Gemstones. The talk focus is on gemstone families and their basic properties.Where and how gem stones are mined, cut and fashioned.Birth stones, famous gem stones and an interesting History line and what to look for in jewellery and much more. The talk duration is 60 minutes but can be tailored to suit.Examples of the Gem stone both host rock and faceted types  are passed to the audience to touch, view and even some beautiful unique gemstone jewellery can be purchased at amazing prices should someone fall in love! I always welcome questions from the audience.


 Talk 3. Diamond, Gemstone of distinction.

In this talk we look into the fascinating and most famous gemstone Diamond. Includes diamond quality, mining, famous diamonds, what to look for, and an extensive history line.I always welcome questions from the audience.

Talk 5. The Splendour of Jewellery, buying and selling, what to look for.

A fascinating talk covering all aspects of what to consider when one purchases or sells items of jewellery. Recommendations and what to look for.

Talk 6. Gemstones and Jewellery of the rich and famous.

Now available. A truly fascinating insight into the very top end Gemstone and Jewellery market. Includes references to European Royal jewellery.


My talk fee is from £65 for each talk based on a small to medium group audience rising to, from £95 for larger group audiences and a travelling fee. Each talk has a duration of 60 minutes (which can be tailored) with PowerPoint presentation and examples of beautiful gemstones and Jewellery to view.

To present a talk I require:

  1. A white screen or white wall.
  2. Two tables.
  3. Power supply.
  4. Extension lead. 5.Venue postcode.

I have built a knowledge and passion for this fascinating topic over twenty years working in this incredible industry. I hope this is of interest.
