A little about me: For 25 years, I was lucky enough to work in the UK charity sector for incredible causes and with inspirational people.
Through a variety of fundraising and leadership positions, I have helped to secure some of the UK's best places for nature and people; encouraged local people to have a stake in their community through volunteering; supported young people to reach their potential; strengthened and supported our NHS; and worked to ensure those living with a life limiting illness have the best possible quality of life.
That brought me to today, and a role where I still believe passionately in making a difference to people's lives. I've experienced the freedom, peace of mind, increased self confidence and feeling of belonging that comes with participation in the EmPower programme and in investing in building mental fitness and resilience.
It's genuinely game changing for people.
But also for those employers who are forward-thinking enough to support their employees to handle change, manage imposter syndrome and confidently step into more responsibility beforehand and not just when it has negative effects and leads to lower productivity or absence.
