Janet & Barry have both had extensive careers in parliamentary research, first in the House of Commons Service, and later at the Scottish Parliament - where Janet set up, and ran for a number of years, the new Parliament’s Research & Information Service. They have also worked as parliamentary consultants around the world, and Barry held a number of academic posts in Public Law and Politics at various UK universities. They have published a number of books and articles on politics and local history, both separately and together, and regularly give talks to local groups. Janet is the Official Historian for Kelways Plants and chairs the Langport & District History Society. Our talks are fully illustrated using PowerPoint.
