This is more than just a show—it's an opportunity to celebrate our nation's rich musical heritage with pride and joy, and the chance to be part of this lively and moving event as we come together to honour such a historic occasion. An unforgettable afternoon of patriotic music will take the audience on a trip through time, featuring over 20 beloved songs that highlight the best of British entertainment. From the swinging 1940s and the rocking 50s and 60s to timeless show tunes, enjoy an old-fashioned knees-up with a Pearly King and Queen, sing along to a rousing selection and join in a spirited celebration with a flag-waving finale. The performance culminates in a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women of the armed forces, with songs that inspired a nation during the war.

About Howard Slater

I am a retired qualified lecturer and teacher and have been giving talks for over 30 years,

The talks I give have been fully researched by myself, they are shown on slides and include original photographs, videos and recordings were relevant, that have been acquired from around the world. The slides are richly illustrated and for clarity, I keep the number of words on each slide to a minimum.

Talk fees are £75 plus reasonable travelling expenses at 35p per mile, when travelling from London. I am able to fill in at short notice, if available, and I can speak daytime or evenings.
