Using 30 years of Garden BirdWatch data, we can advise on best practice for gardening for wildlife.

Talk will cover food and feeding, shelter/ nest boxes, ponds and planting. It will also include information about how to take part in Garden BirdWatch to help monitor population and distribution changes across the UK.

About Susan Jones

Susan has a background working in conservation education and youth work. This has been interspersed by working holidays around the world to carry out fieldwork on birds.

Susan joined the BTO in 2024 as the Garden BirdWatch Supporter Development Officer.

BTO are a non-governmental, non-campaigning organisation focused on securing the future for birds and nature.

We use our science, monitoring and data to inform good environmental decisions and inspire others with the wonder of birds.
