I take part in films, TV drama and commercials as a supporting artist. My talk is illustrated with many examples (in the form of slides and/or printed handouts, as preferred), showing the life of a film extra. What happens when you arrive in the morning? Wardrobe, hair and makeup. What is life in front of the cameras like? How do you become a film or TV extra? Do you get paid? Do you meet famous film stars? I have given this talk so far to about 25 Women's Institutes in and around Oxfordshire, and to the U3A.

About John Kinory

I am a former college lecturer. Now I take part in films, TV shows and commercials as a supporting artist ('extra'), with the occasional featured/speaking part. My illustrated talk is about My Life and Times as a Film Extra, which I have given many times to Womens' Institutes all over Oxfordshire and increasingly in neighbouring counties.
