And the ‘true crime’ genre has been given a new lease of life in recent years, with smash-hit documentaries such as Making A Murderer, The Jinx and The Keepers. The podcast Serial – season one of which investigated a real-life murder – has attracted hundreds of millions of downloads. Why not hear some real life true crime stories, by a police officer who was at the front of the thin blue line?

Richard is a retired (tall) police officer who will take you on a journey through the local and social history of policing in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Each talk is bespoke to your needs, including the length and content. Talks are supported with a power-point, that contains mainly images and minimal text to support the story telling experience.

Richard FOSTER is a retired police officer having served with Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police, offering engaging and informative talks for your next event. With nearly three decades of experience on the force and a passion for storytelling, Richard delivers presentations that are both entertaining and insightful.

The History of British Policing, uniforms, equipment, police stations and slang terms. Cyber security:

Richard can provide talks on the 'human factors' of cyber security including Social Engineering and Physical Penetration tests (Breaking into buildings - with permission!) Ransomware negotiations - Have you ever thought about what it might be like to suffer a real ransomware attack on your business? As a professional ransomware negotiator, Richard will guide you through an example of what to expect, the use of cryptocurrency and bitcoins in crimes and how he has negotiated vast sums of money with criminals.

Overcoming Adversity:

Richard has been involved in, and witnessed many traumatic incidents in his own life and as a police officer. However Richard has learned to be resilient and 'bounce back', From substantial life threatening burns suffered in the great outdoors, to surviving a life threatening Brain Hemorrhage, leaving him unable to walk, talk or see properly. He was lucky to survive, but his struggles had only just begun. His personal experiences reveal his determination to recover, and then start his own business.

Talks are delivered with a humorous and positive story to motivate others. Richard's presentations are filled with humor, anecdotes, and visual aids to enhance your understanding and enjoyment. He has a proven track record of captivating audiences and leaving a lasting impression.
