About David C Holroyd, aka David Capello

David C Holroyd is the co-author of an award-winning autobiographical series of three books known collectively as The Perfect Pair Dolphin Trilogy exposé. This true story was published as fiction to avoid legal problems, but all events chronicled are authenticated by original dolphin logbooks, long since thought destroyed. His story is further validated as part of a West-Yorkshire-museum exhibition and a Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) guest blog, and his books are used in further and higher education venues. An extract from The Perfect Pair: The Enchanted Mirror also won First Prize in the nationwide Manchester Evening News' literary competition, A Piece of your Life.

In a change of tack, David also co-authored and illustrated the Belinda Fellgate fantasy book series, along with his Belinda Fellgate Monster Colouring Book.

David is now recognised by the ceta industry as the trainer known as David Capello, one of the top trainers from the early 1970s UK dolphinaria boom. He is also referred to as the Psychic Trainer.

David’s achievements within the training industry read as follows:

• First trainer to graduate from South Elmsall’s secret training facility. • Head trainer, top dolphin catcher and troubleshooter for Entam Leisure. • Opened onstage Knowsley Safari Park’s premier dolphin show with a young Duchess and Herb’e (aka Flippa), affectionately known as The Perfect Pair. • Opened onstage Woburn Abbey’s premier dolphin show with Bonnie and Clyde, former inmates of London Dolphinarium. • Performed the Royal Show at Woburn Abbey Dolphinarium for the Duke of Bedford, esteemed guests and selected members of the press. • First trainer to train the Shadow Ballet somersault routine. • Managed the ceta-training programmes for Knowsley Safari Park, Woburn Abbey and Rhyl dolphinaria. • Offered the training of Europe’s then only orca, Ramu III, by Gary Smart of Windsor Safari Park.

David’s experience of the aqua circus makes him the perfect speaker for corporate and entertainment events. He has a million stories to tell, all of which will captivate any audience.
