Nick's talk about air traffic control assumes the audience has little knowledge of the subject and breaks down in simple terms the structure of airspace and the function of controllers to manage the traffic in it. Nick will also talk you through some techniques controllers use to keep the skies moving and provide some exciting and light-hearted anecdotes from his career.

Okehampton U3A: “The PowerPoint was one of the best we have had. We can judge how engaged the audience was by the number of questions. Teignmouth WI:

“We had a very informative evening; didn't realise quite how much traffic was going on in the skies at one time. Thank you Nick for a great talk and slide show.”

About Nick Clyburn

Nick Clyburn is a former Air Traffic Controller with over 40 years of experience in both military and civilian air traffic control.  During his highly successful Royal Air Force career, Nick rose to senior command before working as a senior consultant in the air traffic control industry and then as a civilian air traffic controller and manager.
