My career as a London Firefighter spanned 30 years. As you would expect I have dealt with many incidents working for the busiest fire service in the UK. In my talk you will learn the history of the London Fire Brigade and how it all began. I will share details

My author career began two months after losing my wife to breast cancer. I was sitting alone on a beach in Turkey (I needed to get away and try and make sense of it all). I was emotionally drained, I felt lost, alone, scared and frightened. Frightened that I would forget special times. So, I began to write a few things down in a notebook and gradually my words became sentences and paragraphs then chapters and slowly over the course of two years it evolved into a book. I decided to submit it to some publishers and they all wanted to print my story. My book LOVE BEYOND LOVE was published in November 2022 and it has received many great reviews. My talk takes you on my personal journey and how i found writing really helpful with my grieving process. I talk about how my words are helping others to reach out for help as i did. I talk about the two charities that I support by donating all my author royalties to.

About Russell Webb

My career as a London Firefighter spanned 30 years. As you would expect I have dealt with many incidents working for the busiest fire service in the UK. In my talk you will learn the history of the London Fire Brigade and how it all began. I will share details of fire station life and talk about some of the shouts that I attended, as well as give important fire safety advice.
