Sandwiched between the south-west and Wiltshire to the east and Gloucestershire to the north, the gardens of Somerset and Dorset are some of the most beautiful in England. This talk explores the history of some of my favourite gardens including Forde Abbey, Hestercombe and Cranborne Manor and how they fit in to the development of garden design from the 17th to the 21st century.

About Camilla Anderson

As a Garden Historian, I am passionate about the history of our gardens. With a website listing over 200 gardens, my talks cover a variety of topics. If I’m not hunkered down in the archives or taking photos of a new site, I can be found pottering around in my own garden.
