About Susan Jones

Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is a registered charity based at Stonham Barns, near Stowmarket. Since we opened in 1995, we have evolved to the site we occupy today. Our main aim is the care and rehabilitation of sick or injured birds of prey. We also monitor Owl and Kestrel nest boxes across Suffolk to find out how the population is doing. Most of our Raptor Hospital patients are ringed before release, and we have found some residing in nest boxes, proving that our methods work! Our site is open to visitors all year round, providing the opportunity to share our work and conservation stories about birds of prey from around the world. Our captive bred collection of owls, hawks, eagles, falcons and vultures help to educate visitors about their wild cousins through our flying displays, talks and experiences.
