I retired in 2010 from a stressful, pressurised environment and have greatly enjoyed concentrating on many of my previously neglected interests. I am passionate about these which include Aeronautics, Space Engineering and as a contrast my love of poetry. I wish to share the pleasure I derive from these topics with a wider audience. Particularly so in the case of Poetry which does not get the exposure it so deservedly merits. It is widely accepted that learning poems by heart has a beneficial effect on memory and cognition and provides food for the soul in today’s hectic world. My talk “Poems for People who hate Poetry has been well received and I enjoy the challenge implicit in the Title. I look forward to sharing this with you.
