This session presents poetry written by prisoners and portrays how they feel, how they are mentally, and what makes them laugh, and cry. A journey of mixed emotions, showing a side of prison which few people have experienced. If you have an enquiring mind, with a taste for poetry or the spoken word, this should open your mind to what prisons are really like.

About John Robert Reed

I am an experienced lecturer/facilitator within a secure environment, commonly referred to as a prison. I deliver interventions to encourage residents to enjoy poetry, reading storytelling and music which helps reduce loneliness and improves mental health. Lectures can be any length but usually care about 60-90 minutes and are interactive. Great fun to be a part of any age group not necessarily in prison!
