About James Whitworth

I am a nationally syndicated newspaper cartoonist. My work appears in newspapers from Edinburgh to Portsmouth, as well as magazines such as Private Eye. I also lecture at universities on their journalism courses. In addition to this, I am the author of the DCI Miller crime novels.

My talks cover the history of British newspaper cartoons and what it is like being a cartoonist working for the press today. I use illustrations throughout. The talks are mostly humorous, but do cover some serious subjects.
