I have been involved in Bonsai for the last 30 years in the South West.
I have been part of the Bonsai team four times for the RHS Chelsea Show and on my own produced a highly successful show of Bonsai at RHS Rosemoor in 2023.
I am a committee member of the Federation of British Bonsai Societies (FoBBS) and provide support for the European Bonsai Association (EBA); I am also a committee member of Somerset Bonsai Society and belong to Exeter Bonsai Club.
I have been talking for over 20 years to a wide variety of groups like WI, Probus, Gardening Clubs, Horticultural Societies, Schools, OAP homes, and even run a monthly u3a Bonsai group of my own.
I bring trees appropriate to the season of the talk to demonstrate the beauty of this hobby. I demonstrate that Bonsai is far simpler than is often thought and yet can discuss the culture and horticulture if wanted. The talk is great fun, jovial with much audience participation.
