This is a fun, accessible presentation in which we explore how bells were invented and refined, how they were used in the middle ages and how mechanisms were developed into the modern-day ringing style most people will recognise in the UK. Presentation style with questions from the group welcomed!

My name is Victoria and I am both a qualified adult Sleep Coach/Life Coach and a long-time church bell ringer as well as a professional administrator. I am very happy to speak about these topics as I am very passionate about them; I come with stories, examples and presentations to both entertain and inform.
I am in my early 40s and I live with my husband, two children, a dog and a cat. Our home is in West Devon and I'm happy to travel up to an hour in any direction to meet a new group. Professionally I have held a number of very interesting roles as a specialist administrator; regional airline, local authority children's services and NHS primary care training to name a few!
I work with adults to help address and alleviate sleep problems and I can present on general sleep matters or run a workshop in which we investigate the science of sleep and look at ways in which this can help us get better nights. This is a very broad topic so I'm happy to discuss your group's specific interests.
I have been an avid church bell ringer for over 30 years. I have run recruitment campaigns, helped set up a regional ringing centre and I’ve been a bell ringing Publicity Officer as well as ringing in county competitions and supporting my church by ringing for Sunday services. I am a member of the Devon Ringers' Council and the Devon Association of Ringers. Again, there is a lot to talk about so I'm very happy to liaise regarding the presentation content.
If you have any queries please do get in touch! I'm looking forward to meeting you. Best wishes, Victoria
