Bomb Disposal from inception in 1943 to date with actual operational experience of initially dealing with German UXBs (unexploded bombs) to terrorist and extremist devices - Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). How an operation is carried out including defusing, making safe and disposal. Not too technical, but studying some actual incidents. Most of my work is now in explosive effects analysis in which I have a PhD and teaching counter terrorist procedures to large international and national organisations. Have been involved in many high profile incidents including the ‘Brighton Bomb’ , Lockerbie and the assassinations of Litvinenko, Rafiq Hariri (Prime Minister of Lebanon) and General Kobbekaduwa (Chief of Staff Sri Lankan Army). Recently did a project for Ukraine. Over 50 years continuously in Counter Terrorism.
