About Michael T Pearce

A professional speaker with over 30 years of teaching experience in further education. A dedicated stress manager and stress coach with a direct approach to stress management borrowing techniques from several areas of interest.

A devout advocate of life-long learning with a particular interest in Existentialism and Stoicism and their potential impact on stress management.

The author of several short courses in stress and it's detrimental effect on everyday life. In this series of speeches, we will look at practical ways to deal with stressful situations and ensure that stress is maintained at an acceptable level.

“In the confusion of our modern-day world, we sometimes forget that we are not machines. The mechanisms that drive us throughout our day are focused on achieving goals that are set by others or have been internalised to ensure that we ourselves meet specific deadlines both real and perceived. These goals, come together in a partnership of fortuitous association, whereby on occasion a perfect cognitive storm can cause havoc in our thinking processes.

This process, which originates in the mind, can have a detrimental Pathophysiological effect on our bodies, which may cause lasting and devastating negative effects.

Over the past thirty years, I have been actively engaged in showing people from diverse backgrounds, how to reduce stress and and consider ways by which they can balance a hectic work life with a meaningful homelife.

Along the way, we have considered positive actions which lead to a happier and more productive life.
