About Johnnie Lowery

24-year-old football writer. My first book, entitled 'Six Added Minutes' is a coming of age story that tells the tale of watching my local team, Sutton United, in the FA Cup throughout my teenage years. It has received strong reviews from the likes of Jeremy Vine and Jacqui Oatley and is selling well online. My second book is on a more serious topic. 'Match Fit' takes a look at mental health in football, with the ultimate aim of normalising conversation on the broader subject of mental health. The inspiration came from my teenage years where I was depressed but didn't have the knowledge on mental health to understand what was happening to me and seek help as a result.
