My name is Garry Rogers and l am a retired police officer from Greater Manchester Police. I completed a total of 30 years in GMP in a number of different departments, both uniform and CID. For six years l was a full time undercover police officer working on operations both at home and abroad. I recently had my book published ‘ Undercover policing and the corrupt secret society within’. In this l tell the story of undercover work and how certain corrupt senior officers within the higher echelons of GMP command conspired to ruin my life, health and career. They did this to protect a further senior officer who was later convicted of numerous offences of dishonesty. I was blamed for his down fall. I was eventually awarded the QPM in the new years honours for this work. I say eventually as my initial nomination was shredded but after a 3 year campaign my nomination was reinstated by the late Chief Constable, Sir David Wilmot. In my book l tell the full story but l have now prepared a talk which complements the book.

About Garry Rogers. QPM.

My name is Garry Rogers and l am a retired police officer from Greater Manchester Police. I completed a total of 30 years in GMP in a number of different departments, both uniform and CID including 6 years attached to the Regional Crime Squad dealing with criminals who transcend force boundaries. In my book l tell the full story and my talk complements the book. This has been an uphill struggle (David v Goliath) which continues today. The authorities/ police want it all kept hush hush but they picked on the wrong person !!
