In this entertaining and interactive talk, Hannah & Martin introduce you to their range of colourful, vibrant, and sometimes surprising edible flowers grown on their farm in South Yorkshire.

Learn how Yorkshire Edible Flowers started as an idea dreamt up around the kitchen table at the beginning of the Covid pandemic, and now supplies professional bakers nationwide with flowers and leaves to decorate stunning cakes and dishes.

The talk can include a tasting session giving everyone the opportunity to taste a whole range of freshly picked flowers for both sweet and savoury dishes, as well as time for questions and answers.

The talk and tasting typically runs for about an hour, but can be tailored to your needs. The talk can be delivered with or without a projector/slideshow and requires no special equipment in the venue.

About Martin Lamb

Yorkshire Edible Flowers was founded in 2020 by Martin & Hannah, a husband and wife team based in South Yorkshire.

Driven by a desire to set up a sustainable business which would help improve their local environment (and in Martin's case by a desire to keep himself busy when his work in the performing arts was on hold during the lockdowns caused by the pandemic), they decided to expand the space they used for growing their own vegetables to grow flowers and produce for retail and wholesale as well.

Now 3 years later, Yorkshire Edible Flowers sells nationwide online to professional bakers and caterers and keen amateurs, bringing amazing finishing touches to cakes and dishes galore.

Martin & Hannah both have considerable experience of giving talks and running education sessions, and are delighted to share their knowledge of choosing, growing, and using edible flowers with all sorts of audiences.
