An account of the golden age of Victorian music hall, a colourful and vibrant world of British entertainment for the masses. From it's humble beginnings in taverns, saloons and supper rooms to the grand palaces of variety. Nothing matched the glitz and glamour of a night at the music hall. This talk covers the great performers, Marie Lloyd, Little Tich, Dan Leno and Vesta Tilley as well as stars not so well known today such as Lottie Collins and Gus Elen. Concludes with a chorus sing-along of Victorian music hall songs that are well known and loved to this day.
