This talk follows the story of 3D photography from 1842. It is a talk packed with only the best 3D images that tells the story of 3D stereo photographs from Talbots first images up to the modern day. Even those less interested in how these images are created, will find themselves captivated by the beauty of the images themselves.

In the talk we explore what are stereo images and why were they so popular with Victorians. For this in-person talk the attendees will be provided with 3d anaglyph glasses in order to enjoy the 3D experience.

About Ian Wallace

A keen photo historian. photographer and author Ian is enthusiastic speaker who likes to engage audiences with his 3D talks. Ian is an active photo history researcher and has published two books of Victorian stereo views. His talks allow the participants to enjoy views of the Victorian period in 3D and he will adapt the talks to suit the interests of the audience. An ideal speaker for photographic club's the 3D talks also make a change from the normal 2D show and are fun for a wide range of social club, society and educational audiences.

Ian will consider travel to most locations in southern and central and Southwest England.
