About Fiona Conn

I'm Fiona, I'm the Regional Community Fundraiser for Birmingham & the West Midlands at Shelter.

Did you know? A staggering 45 households in the West Midlands become homeless every day. Across the UK, a household becomes homeless every 4 minutes and in Birmingham there are thousands of families living in temporary accommodations - often, hotels and hostels, where they have to share bathroom and kitchen facilities with multiple other people.

Shelter exists to fight for the right to a home for everyone. Shelter exists to fight for all those whose lives are devastated by the loss of their home – and all whose lives will be affected if things don’t change.

Last year, we gave information, support, and advice to millions of people facing homelessness or experiencing bad housing. In 2020/21, our Helpline team gave advice to 22,644 households.

I'd be delighted to tell you more about our work in Birmingham and how we're working at Shelter to change housing laws and ensure there's a home for everyone.
