Further stories of life in entertainment, acting and on TV. Lighthearted and fun story telling. Talk co-incides with Peter's book of the same name.
Views: 645 | Enquiries: 10For over three decades, PETER REGELOUS worked as a Cabaret Artist, Presenter, Actor and briefly, even as a model for an agency in Covent Garden! Now, with more than a touch of humour, he tells (nearly) all about his professional life over two talks, “A Life on the Road” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Life.”
Having worked in some of the best and most of the worst entertainment venues, Peter talks about how he got started in the world of show business and his dealings with agents. He recalls some of the colourful characters he encountered and some of the situations he found himself in on the club, cabaret and holiday camp circuit.
From there to securing a meeting with the A & R executive, David Ambrose, at EMI Records was a leap like no other and he learnt much about how the music industry functioned back in the 1990’s.
On attaining his Equity card and he subsequently went on to appear in 1000+ television programmes, firstly as an extra and then as an actor.
Catherine Zeta Jones, Roger Moore, Michael Caine, Joan Collins, Jonny Lee Miller, John Simm and Colin Firth are just some of the people that Peter has worked with, however, some of his best memories are of two elderly ladies with theatrical associations that he met in nursing homes, one in Essex and the other in Suffolk.
