From fresh eggs to free-range, Claire will take you through the different breeds of hens and their characteristics, and look at feeding, health and welfare and common ailments and how to treat them. Also covers hatching eggs and caring for chicks plus breeding for showing and how to prepare for a poultry show. Claire keeps a number of rare breed hens and shows them successfully , having won at top UK shows.

A graduate in Agriculture and Food Marketing, Claire runs Grassroots PR Ltd with a focus on plants, pigs and poultry! She lives in Somerset and used to run a small holding for years.
