About Rachel Barrowcliffe MCIHort

I have been a professional gardener for over 30 years, I am gardener and adviser to Sir Andrew and Lady Belinda Buchanan at Hodsock Priory and The Tropical Butterfly House Conservation park and Zoo, Sheffield. . I love to share my horticultural my knowledge through talks and as a garden consultant.

My talks are seasonal and often have lots of practical information. "Gardening in containers and growing veg in pots" is perfect from February to June. "Summer gardening hints and tips" runs June July and August. "Autumn gardening hints and tips including lasagne layering bulbs" runs from Sept Oct Nov.

Talks suitable for anytime of the year are The role of Head Gardener at The Tropical Butterfly House, Sheffield and Future Proof your garden with age and climate change in mind.

The talks last about 40 minutes and finish with a 20 minute ish (it can be land often is longer!) gardeners question and answer session.

My preferred area is North Notts, South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North West Lincs.
